Mark Alert! (Data entry form)

Collate and analyse data to produce information (7)

Good marks…

You will get good marks if you:

·        design a data entry form that is easy to use;

·        include helpful features such as combo boxes, list boxes, option groups and Status bar messages;

·        design a form that looks neat and attractive, with sensible headings and labels;

·        test your form to make sure that a validation message is displayed whenever data is entered incorrectly;

·        add new records correctly;

·        keep at least two versions of your form to show how you customised it.

Bad marks…

You will lose marks if:

·        your form is difficult to use because no explanation of coded fields is included, or the tab order of the fields is different from what the user would expect;

·        the user can accidentally add invalid data in fields where validations should be included;

·        the form is difficult to read because the colours are not well chosen, the font is too small or fields are not visible because the form is too small;

·        no customisation has been carried out.
