GEA – Preserving the Natural World

Marketing Leaflet

You are required to create a folded leaflet with the following aims:

·       To inform people about endangered species

·       To persuade them of the value of GEA’s work

·       To tell people how they can help save endangered species and preserve our planet

The leaflet must

·       Be designed as a two-sided, three-panel colour leaflet, i.e. an A4 landscape page folded twice

·       Contain descriptions and images of at least four endangered species

·       Contain GEA’s logo and strapline ‘Preserving the Natural World’

·       Suggest at least two ways in which an individual can help GEA’s work

When you are creating your own leaflet it is a good idea to write down all the information you want to include in the publication and a description of what images you might like to add. With this, you can then produce a sketch of both sides of your proposed leaflet. It is not important to get a perfect drawing; just draw a rough outline of what bits could go where on the page. It is highly likely that you will end up making several changes to the design as you go along.

Remember: It's not just the finished products that go in the portfolio - you will also be expected to put in evidence of design and work in progress.
